John Regala is having a health crisis with no significant medication help. Regala, who is a well-known Philipinnes actor who played the antagonist roles in the 1990s' movies, is suffering from a sickness called liver cirrhosis. John Regala became viral after a video of him went public, which showcased him in Pasay.
His health condition was so weak as he was so lean and thin and was waiting for a nurse who'd give him his medication. As per the GMA News' reports, Regala was puking regularly for more than two weeks due to Liver Cirrhosis.
Though no significant aid came for one of the best Philipinnes actors, his colleagues and fellow actors, including Nadia Montenegro, Chuckie Dreyfus, and Aster Amoyo, are on his side to help pay for his treatment. The trio of actors is setting up 'Gava Gives Assistance Account' for the treatment of John Regala.
Nadia Montenegro went on her Instagram for the public help. She shared the same viral picture of Regala and urged for immediate aid. Embedding the advocacy of fundraiser, Montenegro wrote:
"With the help of Nanay Aster A. Amoyo & Chuckie Dreyfus we have created a 'Gava Gives Assistance Account' for John and are now waiting for approval for the account wherein anyone who wants to help can send it through there."

As per Montenegro, Regala's voices are not understandable, and he needs a wheelchair to walk. So, the priority for the actor is wheelchair, daily food and medical assistance, and dialysis for his liver cirrhosis.

John Regala, age 55, whose real name is John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer, is a Filipino actor and environmentalist. He is widely acknowledged for his antagonist roles in several movies and productions of the 1990s.
As an actor, he appeared in many films, including Bagets Gang (1985), Wanted: Pamilya Banal (1989), Pamilya Valderama (1995), Dudurugin Ko Pati Buto Mo (2001), Ligalig (2006), Tiniente Gimo (2016), and many more.
Regala's acting career stopped due to massive drug abuse, which took him to a drug rehabilitation center to turn his life around.
Regala is the son of former character actor Mel Francisco and former actress Ruby Regala. His life changed after the death of his mother, Ruby, in 2019. With intense grief in heart, he started having clashes with his wife.
He wanted to rest in peace without being a burden to anybody, as he has no one to rely upon after Ruby's death. Even his wife abandoned him after knowing that he had a chronic illness. Regala is currently married to Vicky Schrierer, with whom he shares parenthood of three children.
As an environmentalist, he set up Project Green Evolution Inc., which produces Water Bonsai Organic Root Grower.
