Allison Hsu has spent nearly a decade helping make other people famous. As a digital marketing executive at Interscope Records, she has worked on campaigns for artists such as Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga, mostly out of the public eye. In early October 2026, her own name started trending because Simu Liu reportedly married her in France. Here is what is confirmed about Simu Liu's wife, and where the public record stops.
Who Is Allison Hsu?
Allison Hsu is an American music industry marketing executive who works at Interscope Records. She is best known publicly as the partner, and now reported wife, of Marvel actor Simu Liu, the star of Shang-Chi.
She does not have her own Wikipedia page, and she has never needed one to build a career. What exists about her comes from Forbes recognition, her own Instagram posts, and the coverage that followed her relationship with Liu.
Allison Hsu's Age
Allison Hsu is 30 years old, according to IBTimes and Outlook India, which also give Liu's age as 37. Her exact birth date has not been published. An older HollywoodLife profile also says her age and birth date were not public at the time it was written, so "30" is a reported figure and not something she has stated herself.
Allison Hsu's Job at Interscope Records
She works in digital marketing at Interscope. Her title depends on which outlet you read. IBTimes and The Star call her vice president of digital marketing. Earlier coverage, including AOL, describes her as a digital marketing director, a role it says she was promoted into in March 2023. Liu has also called her a "digital marketing executive" on The Tonight Show.
The most careful reading is that she holds a senior digital marketing leadership role and may have been promoted since 2023. Her job is to plan digital and social campaigns for artists. IBTimes says her work has covered Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, FINNEAS, and Holly Humberstone.
How Allison Hsu Rose From Intern to Executive
Her path is the kind that rarely makes headlines. According to AOL, Hsu joined Interscope as an intern in 2017 while studying at UCLA, then was hired full-time in 2018 after earning her bachelor's degree. HollywoodLife, citing the South China Morning Post, adds that she held public relations internships at Jimmy Choo and Giorgio Armani before that.
In 2022, Forbes named her to its 30 Under 30 list for music. Hsu marked the recognition on Instagram, writing, "I'm honored to be recognized as a young Asian-American woman in this industry," per AOL. It is a small detail, but it shows how she describes her own career, in her own words.
Where Is Allison Hsu From?
She grew up in Pennsylvania and was a devoted music fan as a child, according to the Instagram post about Forbes that AOL cites. Liu brought her home to Taiwan for the holidays in December 2022, though her family's own ties to Taiwan are not explained in any source we found.
That is as far as the verified record goes. Nothing reliable has been published about her parents, siblings, or religion, so we are not going to guess.

The Paris Proposal and the Taylor Swift Video
Liu proposed in Paris in May 2025 with the Eiffel Tower behind them, and the couple announced the engagement on May 11, according to HollywoodLife. Hsu posted photos with the caption "Us forever," and Liu wrote that he chose her "forever and always," per IBTimes.
The detail that went viral came later. Liu told Jimmy Fallon in December 2025 that he asked Taylor Swift's publicist for a short congratulatory video because Hsu is a longtime Swift fan. Swift sent it a few days later. Liu said Hsu "completely lost it" when he played it after the proposal.
Allison Hsu and Simu Liu's Wedding in France
The marriage was first reported by TMZ and later attributed to a source who confirmed it to People. According to The Star, the wedding took place over the weekend before October 5, 2026, while IBTimes says it was the weekend of October 3. Both place it in France.
No city, venue, guest list, or photographs of the ceremony have been confirmed, and we have not seen a formal statement from the couple. The weeks before it were documented more openly: a bridal shower in August, and a bachelorette trip to Tulum, Mexico, in September that Hsu shared on Instagram.
